This week, Orchard Place will host its 9th annual Moonlight Classic July 5-11, the largest fundraising event of the year for the organization. As a sponsor of the event, LenderClose is spotlighting the event, the organization and why it’s important to LenderClose.
There are very few people who have not had a family member or friend struggle with mental health illnesses, or at some point, experienced mental health illness themselves. Orchard Place works closely with children and youth who have mental health illnesses, behavioral health challenges, battle substance abuse, suffer from trauma and more.
By interceding early with appropriate care, Orchard place offers a wide array of comprehensive mental and behavioral health services designed specifically for children and adolescents to develop strong futures for these young children.
For LenderClose COO, Ben Rempe, who has been an Orchard Place Foundation board member since 2015, these types of services are vital to all communities and Orchard Place provides that strong support system in the state of Iowa. He knows how important the annual Moonlight Classic bike ride event is to Orchard Place.
The funds raised each year at the Moonlight Classic bike ride, a virtual event this year, provides strong futures to the nearly 9,000 Iowa children and families served annually by Orchard Place. This allows the organization to continue to provide therapeutic services year-over-year to Iowa’s youth, which has become even more critical since the pandemic started.
